An award was given to Dr. Ruggio by his peers at a ceremony following the American College of Cardiology Symposium and Chapter meeting in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Ruggio has been awarded "Cardiologist of the Year" by the California Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
He is being recognized for his demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence in patient care as well as his contributions to cardiovascular advances and initiatives here in California and on the national level.
The American College of Cardiology represents over 3,012 cardiologists statewide with an estimated 1,800 members here in Los Angeles and Orange County.
