Dr. Baker is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and  Interventional Cardiology. 

Dr. Baker completed pre-medical school at the University of Southern California, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Science.  He then continued his medical education at the USC School of Medicine, where he received his Medical Degree.  Dr. Baker completed a one-year internship at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Santa Clara, California, where he specialized in internal medicine, followed by a three year term of internal medicine residency and chief residency at the USC Medical Center, in Los Angeles, California.  He then completed three years of fellowship specializing in Cardiology at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California.  After completing his Cardiology fellowship at St. Mary's, Dr. Baker went on to complete an interventional fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. 

Dr. Baker is certified as trainer for other Cardiologists in Advanced Interventional cardiology techniques beyond angioplasty such as Laser Atherectomy and Rotational Atherectomy. He is also an active participant and leader in multiple physician education programs and is an active participant and leader in multiple physician education programs and participates in Cardiology Best Practice teams to promote evidence-based medicine throughout California.

Dr. Baker was board-certified in Internal Medicine in 1991, in Cardiovascular Disease in 1997, and in Interventional Cardiology 1999.
