Dominic Blurton, MD

Dr. Blurton completed his Medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Pediatrics at the University of Nevada and went on to complete his Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco.

He joins Pacific Cardiovascular Associates after serving as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he was on faculty in the Pediatric Cardiology department for the last three years. Dr. Blurton's faculty appointment at Loma Linda provided him the opportunity to manage complex pediatric congenital heart disease patients at a premier tertiary referral center.

His specific areas of clinical expertise and research interests include Transthoracic, Transesophageal, and Fetal echocardiography. He also performs diagnostic cardiac catheterization including intravascular ultrasound. In addition to his strong clinical and diagnostic skills, Dr. Blurton brings an evidence based approach to his patient treatment strategies.

Dr. Blurton is Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr Blurton is married and has a young son, he is an avid cyclist and competes in long distance races.
